You will enjoy a lovely day at Castro Marim
artisanal salt ponds.
Is a very peaceful place, away from touristic spots that will make you feel that you have discovered a little secret.
From the road you will see a blue house in
the middle of the salt ponds.
It is a very simple place, without any luxuries, where
for 6 Euros you can relax floating in salted water or for 12 Euros, float and
use the mineral mud mask.
There is also a little café, with a relaxing view to
the ponds, where you can have a good coffee or a very nice snack/ light meal.
No need to take any shampoo or shower gel, as the place
is located in a natural reserve, is all very ecologically friendly, so you are not allowed to use it. But do take a towel and flip flops.
If you want, apart from enjoying the view and the spa, you can also do a tour to
understand the process of producing salt or pre book a massage.
Next time I’m planning to take a book and
enjoy reading with a drink by the ponds.
