As a Portuguese I love Fado, I always have my eyes peeled to find concerts in London as listening Fado
is one of the ways to be close to home.
Usually I find one event a year. So far I have only
managed to see Ana Moura, one of the most cherished Portuguese Fado singers. She captivated Mick Jagger
and Price with her wonderful voice and they both invited her to perform with
them. I’ve seen her at the Barbican and also at The Roundhouse. Both times I
have taken English friends with me and they absolutely loved her. I just remember everyone clapping and dancing to the sound of Dia de Folga sound(day off).
