Home made vanilla essence

 1 organic vailla pod

70 ml vodka, rum or brandy

or 

1 organic vanilla pod

60ml vegetable glycerin

10m bottled water

cut the pod in pieces

put in a sterilised jar

mix with one of the liquids and wait for 6 to 8 weeks!
